What is Helixoft ?

Helixoft is a groundbreaking construction designed to emulate the lightweight, soft, puffy, and superior insulation qualities of natural feather (or down) in clothing while avoiding the drawbacks associated with natural down.

What does Helixoft product series aim to achieve?

Helixoft filling Content

The filling comes from 3M™Thinsulate™ Featherless Insulation with 600 fill-power or 700 fill-power. 

When was the product introduced?

1. The first product was introduced through the Mt. Jade collection in October 2015 in Taiwan.

2. Additional products were showcased at both the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market and ISPO in early 2016.

Helixoft Structure

1. The synthetic fiber used in Helixoft consists of individual Polyester fibers, unlike traditional synthetic insulation sheets. The shape of the individual Polyester filling is similar to down, featuring a non-connected short fiber composition. Like down, it requires a chamber to form high-loft clusters that trap air and heat.

2. Unlike the natural down, the polyester filling, though independent, still have bigger clusters than down. As a result, we needed to develop a special process to evenly distribute the filling into each chamber. This unique filling and quilting process was obtained patent in 2019.
